Projection mapping vs. old school animatronics

Are you a fan of high-tech digital window projections, or do you prefer the tactile, clanking charm of pneumatic props and DIY wood-and-motor builds?

Give me the clanking gears and the smell of grease. A physical prop has an undeniable presence that light can't replicate.

digital projection stuff has its place. there are a few neighborhoods in my hometown where they are heavy trick-or-treating traffic zones on Halloween night and there's always several projection items on sides of houses and garages, which is pretty cool. but for me, physical props are best, especially when lit up with small prop lights and such at night. projections = cool comfort spooky feels. physical decorations and props are the chill-inducing pops that make everything special.
